Mpumalanga
Mpumalanga – name changed from Eastern Transvaal on 24 August 1995), is a province of South Africa. The name means east or literally "the place where the sun rises" in Swazi, isiXhosa, and isiZulu. Mpumalanga lies in eastern South Africa, north of KwaZulu-Natal and bordering Swaziland and Mozambique. It constitutes 6.5% of South Africa's land area. In the north it borders on Limpopo, to the west Gauteng, to the southwest the Free State and to the south KwaZulu-Natal. The capital is Nelspruit. Prior to 1994, Mpumalanga was part of Transvaal Province.

Beautiful pictures, beautiful blog. Very enjoyable. Bernie
Thanks Bernie, I took those shots over the easter weekend when I went to Mpumalanga. I first started in the province of Limpopo and stayed there for 2 days and after I went to Mpumalanga and sepnt another two days. I must say that the drives in the region of Magubaskloof and Tzaneen in Limpopo are the best I have ever deriven in since driving around South Africa.
Please visit golimpopo.com and see what the region can offer you.
I love your blog, we spend a lot of time in Mpumalanga, and every thing you say is so true. A really beautiful province in a really beautiful country.xxx
I like pictures. I´ve been tree times at South Africa (2x at the Three Rondavels, God´s Window and the Potholes), but I´ve been there at the wrong time for taking pictures.
What do you think it´s the best time? In 40 days I´ll be there again. :-)))
Greetings
Christina, Munich
